James R Ford is a British artist whose practice is concerned with loss of innocence and
the endearment of the loser. The production and aesthetic is that of home made/made at
home, mimicking the outsider, hobbyist or everyday enthusiast. Combining his 'new
regressive' tendencies with pub quiz knowledge and chutzpah to create works ranging
from a ball of bogies in a broken eggcup, to a formula predicting Bond film plot structure,
to inventing a new home-based sport.
